The Genesis of the Ministry:

In 2018, Crystal answered a call to attend ministry school at Free Chapel under Pastor Jentezen Franklin. Despite residing in Texas, she enrolled into Free Chapel College and moved across country to Gainesville, GA in August 2018. During her time in school, she strengthened her faith in God and divinely crossed paths with Gabriel. In April 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, they began a long-distance relationship, eventually leading to a proposal under the stars at Brasstown Bald in September 2020. On October 16th, 2020, Gabriel and Crystal officially tied the knot! During their January corporate fast at Free Chapel, the Lord led the two to move back to Crystal's hometown Amarillo, TX. Today, Gabriel and Crystal have been called to not only pursue full time ministry, but to also leave their full-time jobs in the process. They now serve as co-founders of Psalm 56 Ministries, evangelize in person, and also post sermons on all major social media platforms.

This unexpected twist in my life's narrative reflects the profound impact of faith and the transformative power of divine connections.

Short Bio - Introduction

Crystal Nicole Thornton

In the shadows of a life without church, I stumbled through darkness — battling alcohol, grappling with depression, and seeking solace in fleeting moments. God's voice shattered the silence at the "Forward Conference," commanding me to pack my bags and relocate to Georgia for ministry school.

Amid textbooks and prayers, the Holy Spirit whispered a destiny — to birth a church that would ripple into eternity. From that pivotal moment, every sunrise became a canvas for self-transformation dedicated to God's plan.

The journey unfolded, marking milestones of triumph over personal struggles. Graduating from ministry school wasn't just an academic achievement; it was a testament to God's redemptive power. Love blossomed, and I stood at an altar, exchanging vows with my best friend. Soon, the pitter-patter of tiny feet echoed, as our first child entered the world.

Psalm 56 Ministries, born from the depths of my journey, is but a glimpse of the grand tapestry God continues to weave. The pages of this story are still turning, and the chapters yet to unfold promise a narrative of faith, family, and the relentless pursuit of God's calling.
